Sarah Kwong
Sarah Kwong is a British-Chinese writer currently living in Scotland. She was previously based in Hong Kong and, before that, London.
She mainly writes essays and poetry about identity, belonging, and culture. Her writing has appeared in The Good Journal, ZORA, Human Parts, and Valley Voices, among other publications. In 2022, she was shortlisted for the Pushcart Prize and the Alpine Fellowship Prize.
Sarah writes a monthly Substack newsletter about memory, food, language, and place called pomelo skin and can also be found on Instagram.
She also founded being, a monthly zine (print & digital) encouraging slow living. It was distributed in independent businesses around Hong Kong and, when she relocated, Edinburgh. The last issue was published in March 2023. All issues can be found in digital format here.
She is currently doing her MA in Creative Writing.
